From Our Family to Yours, Welcome Aboard

At the heart of our sailing charters is Moondrift, a custom-built staysail wooden schooner with a soul as deep as the sea she sails. Handcrafted on the West Coast in the 1980s from old-growth firs, she was built with care and intention in the spirit of traditional working schooners. Her lines are classic, her deck is all wood and quiet grace, and her presence on the water turns heads — not for flash, but for the kind of quiet beauty that only comes with time, craftsmanship, and love.

Moondrift made her way across the country, eventually finding her true home here on the coast of Maine. After years of sailing experience and a shared dream of owning a vessel with history and heart, we, Captains Jeremy and Erica, became her caretakers. She’s more than our charter boat. She’s our family boat. In the warmer months, you’ll find us sailing her up and down the Maine coast with our young son, exploring quiet harbors, wild islands, and sharing with him the same connection to the sea that’s guided our lives.

As the owners of Reef Runner Sailing School, we’ve spent years teaching others how to safely and confidently sail but Moondrift gives us something different to offer: a chance to slow down, unplug, and connect with the timeless rhythm of wind, wood, and water.
